September 27, 2017, Washington, DC – Capstone National Partners (Capstone), a full-service government affairs firm with offices in Washington, D.C and Milwaukee, WI is pleased to announce the appointment of William Stone as President.

“Will joined Capstone’s Washington, DC office in early 2016,” John Rogers, Capstone founder commented, “and has been key to Capstone’s success this past year. Will knows D.C. – and Wisconsin — better than anyone I’ve ever met and he is known for his success advocating on the Hill and tireless work ethic.  We are thrilled that he has agreed to take the lead in Capstone’s future growth.”

Will brings a unique understanding of the political process as an experienced lobbyist, political activist and Congressional insider. He represents a diverse client base, working on an array of issues, including defense, appropriations, procurement, health care, and telecommunications. Will is recognized for his depth of legislative knowledge and expertise on a broad range of policy areas.

“I could not be more excited to take on this new role with Capstone,” Stone said, “and look forward to working with Capstone’s extremely dedicated and talented team of professionals.  Capstone is poised to achieve exceptional growth, and being part of that is personally and professionally exciting.”

Will was chief of staff to Congressman Dave Obey (Wisconsin’s longest serving member of Congress), who chaired the House Appropriations Committee. Most recently, Will worked as a lobbyist at both Jefferson Consulting and Denny Miller Associates. Prior, he was director of financial services for the Democratic Congressional Campaign Committee; and a senior consultant at Campbell, Falk & Selby, a public policy and political consulting firm. He also was a regional political director of the American Medical Association, and oversaw the polling program for AMA’s nonpartisan political action committee. He started his career on the Hill in the office of Rep. Wyche Fowler of Georgia.

“Capstone is the firm that everyone in DC knows is where you go if you want integrity and results. I couldn’t be happier,” Stone said. “For our Wisconsin — and national — clients, I think we’ve just created an unparalleled offering that I’m completely inspired by.”
