They’re Back

Fresh off spending hundreds of millions of dollars in the 2012 election, Crossroads GPS, the nonprofit sister organization to the American Crossroads super PAC, began running ads this week accusing Obama of supporting major tax increases while forgoing significant spending cuts. The weeklong, $500,000 ad buy, which will run on nationwide cable, is another sign that Washington’s political players feel making their case to the American people is as important as negotiating with the other party—witness the president’s own announcement on Wednesday that he’s traveling to Detroit next week.
