The Money

An analysis by the Center for Responsive Politics found that women, small-dollar donors, lawyers, professors and tech industry employees were much more likely to give to President Obama than Mitt Romney. Women accounted for 44% (about $125 million) of the president’s campaign cash from individuals who gave more than $200 that it was able to track; Twenty-eight percent, or $97.5 million, of the Romney campaign’s total fundraising came from women.  Men and those affiliated with the financial services, insurance and real estate industries were more likely to be Romney donor.
