SITUATION

A national organization dedicated to finding cures for spinal cord injury clearly saw a need for a centralized clinical trial network to bring promising spinal cord injury therapies out of the laboratory and into clinical trials. They wanted an institutionalized structure to ensure the availability of powerful new therapies and improve the quality of life for people living with paralysis. The challenge was to find funding to create a trial network. They contacted Capstone National Partners.

IMPACT

Capstone developed and implemented a legislative strategy to assist the organization in securing a longstanding multi-million dollar grant from the Department of Defense (DOD) to further support the expansion of translational research to find treatments for individuals living with spinal cord injury, including servicemen and women.
