Senator Lautenberg Retires

Sen. Frank Lautenberg, D-N.J., announced on Thursday that he won’t seek a sixth term in the Senate in 2014. OVERLOOKED aspect of Lautenberg’s retirement — he’s the last remaining WWII veteran in the Senate. AGE IS JUST A NUMBER Hat Tip to Hotline, With Sen. Frank Lautenberg‘s (D-NJ) retirement, the oldest senator in the next Congress will be Dianne Feinstein (D-CA), followed by Chuck Grassley (R-IA), Orrin Hatch (R-UT), and Richard Shelby (R-AL).
