The Republican National Committee announced the “Growth and Opportunity Project” on Monday to do what chairman Reince Priebus has described as an “autopsy” of what went wrong in the 2012 election. The group’s co-chairs include Zori Fonalledas, the national committeewoman from Puerto Rico, and Glen McCall, the African-American national committeeman from South Carolina. The other members are Henry Barbour, national committeeman from Mississippi and a nephew of the former governor; Sally Bradshaw, a Florida-based political strategist close to former Florida Gov. Jeb Bush; and Ari Fleischer, who was President George W. Bush’s White House press secretary.
