Ray Odierno says the Army is immediately freezing all civilian hiring and considering terminating temporary employees and curtailing training that’s not mission critical. “The situation is serious,” Odierno said at an AUSA breakfast on Thursday. “We must take action now to slow the spending.” More details to be announced in the next week, he said.
