“Government relations plus public relations equals public affairs,” Rogers says, leaning back in his office chair and explaining his job.

Rogers runs a lobbying shop and is proud of it.

He is the president of Capstone National Partners, a public affairs company with offices in Milwaukee and Washington, D.C.

He’s also something of a futurist, on the cutting edge of blending Hollywood creativity and high technology with military know-how to help train soldiers. He’s the CEO of RL Leaders, a California-based company that provides immersive experiences for training.

It all makes for a very hectic life for the 52-year-old married father of two who lives in Whitefish Bay and carries on a bi-coastal business career.

“I’m a big believer in the story and cutting through the clutter,” he says, conveying the practical art of lobbying.
