“Charitable groups, which were relieved when the “fiscal cliff” agreement reached New Year’s Day preserved the tax deduction structure for charitable contributions, now worry their victory could be short-lived,” The Hill reports. “Even though the deal signed into law could actually spur more charitable giving, according to an analysis by the Tax Policy Center, charitable groups say they expect the deduction to be threatened again in coming months as Congress negotiates the next round of budget battles.”
