While watching the movie Moneyball this weekend, for the 15th time (full disclosure: I’m a huge Oakland A’s fan) I was struck by the similarities between the Billy Beane A’s and the Capstone team. If you haven’t seen the movie, or read the New York Times bestseller by the same name, it tells the story of A’s General Manager Billy Beane and his creative, forward thinking mentality to putting together a winning baseball team. He used what at the time were considered meaningless, advanced metrics to put together a team that would compete with the bigger, wealthier organizations. In other words, he looked at his problem from a point of view that no one else had.
At Capstone, that’s what we do. We find creative, sometimes unorthodox solutions to resolve our clients’ issues. We aren’t bound by a large-scale manifesto of “proven ways to solve problems” instead we are free to find unique, results-driven solutions to the myriad problems our clients face each and every day.
No matter what the issue, whether it is helping clients avoid fear, ease their pain, or vigorously pursue what they desire, we at Capstone will find an individual solution to each individual problem. That’s what we do, because that’s what we believe in. The beauty of a “boutique” Government Affairs firm is that each client is treated like they are the most important, because in many respects they are. We believe in clients who advance the greater good and that’s why we fight so hard. In fact, the word client itself does not adequately describe our relationship. Rather, you are a partner, a partner in every sense of the word. Your success is our success and vice versa. Like Billy Beane, we believe in you and your ability, and understand the unique characteristics that make you and your organization special. We will exhaust every avenue available so at the end of the day you know we left no stone unturned in our pursuit of success.
In the time I have been with Capstone I can honestly say that I have never worked with a more passionate, dedicated group of individuals who care more about their client’s success than their own. If you’re looking for a representative and voice for your issue or cause I can’t recommend a better, more qualified and caring group than the Capstone team. So if this sounds like you, or your organization I invite you, to join our team.
