Americans Want Congress, White House To Compromise

As the deadline to avert the fiscal cliff moves closer, a new Wall Street Journal/NBC News poll shows that 65% of Americans want Congress and the White House to compromise and find a solution that reduces the budget deficit. In order to reach the middle ground, the poll suggests Democrats may have to give way on Social Security and Medicare cuts and Republicans would have to allow for tax rate increases.
